A brand new Honda Civic Hybrid was recently delivered to not-for-profit organisation Life Education, to assist their Education and Training Department throughout New South Wales.
Life Education, which operates nationally, works in partnership with community groups, law enforcement, government, education and health providers to reduce the harm that abuse and misuse of drugs and alcohol has in our society.
Life Education focuses on promoting a healthy lifestyle and believes that educating children when they are young will better prepare them for life and in turn help to reduce drug taking in society.
By learning to respect their bodies, be healthy and active, children can make wise choices. Partnering with the education system allows Life Education to support schools, families and communities to ensure they receive the best possible programs available to promote a healthy lifestyle.
The Honda Foundation and Trivett Honda in Blacktown have provided the Honda Civic Hybrid through the ‘Honda Heroes’ program, so Life Education’s drug and alcohol relief educators can take the ‘Mobile Learning Centre’ to different schools in NSW.
Jay Bacik, CEO of Life Education, is delighted with the Civic Hybrid. “We are very thankful to The Honda Foundation, having the Civic Hybrid has been an enormous saving for Life Education. This has allowed Life Education to have a vehicle for Educators to use who travel to schools throughout the state on relief duties. Without this support from Honda, Life Education would not be able to have this car available to use for the next 12 months.”
